We wrapped it up for you, read and review and see you out there!
The popular surf hotspots are on JBR beach (spot might fade due to new island being built) and on Sunset beach (next to Burj Al Arab). There are other spots too, but with less frequent waves and accessibility. Most important wherever you surf, respect other swimmers, local rules with dresscode etc. Surfers in Dubai have always been on the radar from the Dubai Municipality, due to complaints from people who think it is not safe to have boards in the water. So keep this in mind and enjoy the surf!
Season for waves is spreading across nov-may but waves are rarely massive. Expect 1 to maximum 10ft waves. Mornings are the best with offshore winds. Water temperature is good enough for boardies only all year around.
An added surfspot is in Al Ain, Wadi Adventure wavepool. Great spot where you can slot yourself in to surf the wavepool for about a 100AED for an hour. Limited surfers per hour, so get booking and enjoy this constant wave. Wadi Adventure.
Surf Schools are available. Surf Shop Dubai/Arabia is probably the best known. Run by expats and keeps a solid international high level. Prices from 125AED per person in group lessons. Surf Shop Dubai

Dubai has days of good winds, especially when weather changes occur spring and autumn. Storms can pull in and the kite surfers flock to the hotspots, Kitebeach on Jumeirah Beach Road, Jebel Ali at the Golf resort next to Palm Jebel Ali. The Sport has gained a lot of momentum with all expats in town who brings their knowledge and passion to Dubai. Remember though the culture here is spread across 100s of nationalities and everybody has their own etiquette. The feedback we had, is that rules and manners are not always the easiest here so treat others like you wanted to be treated yourself.
